The Technology and Innovation Centre is a modern research building at the University of Strathclyde with nine floors containing laboratories, lecture halls, and offices. Its distinctive triangular steel-framed design provides extensive space for research work across multiple disciplines.
The building was designed by the architectural firm Building Design Partnership and opened in March 2015. Since then it has grown into a major research hub for the university.
The center serves as a gathering place where researchers from different fields work side by side and share their work. The open layout and modern spaces make it easy for people to meet and collaborate across disciplines.
The building is located on George Street in Glasgow's Merchant City district and is easy to reach. It has conference rooms and event spaces suited for different types of academic gatherings.
The building achieved an impressive Energy Performance Certificate rating of A through its sustainable design features. This high environmental standard is not common for research facilities of this size.
