Westminster Abbey Choir School occupies a Grade II listed building in Dean's Yard, providing education for thirty boys aged between eight and thirteen years old.
The institution traces its origins to 1560 when choir boys from Westminster Abbey began receiving education within the grounds of the religious complex.
Students participate in daily evensong performances at Westminster Abbey, except Wednesdays, and undertake international concert tours to countries including Hungary and Russia.
The school provides complete academic instruction in National Curriculum subjects while integrating extensive musical training into the daily schedule of each student.
As the sole remaining choir school in Britain dedicated exclusively to choristers, the institution maintains three houses named after former Westminster Abbey organists.
