History
Henry Solomon Wellcome founded the institution in 1936. The museum opened its doors to visitors in 2007 at the current site on Euston Road.

The permanent exhibition Being Human features works from international artists exploring genetics, minds, bodies, infection, and environmental connections to medicine.
Practical
Admission is free and the museum opens Tuesday to Sunday. On Thursdays it stays open until 22:00, while on Sundays the doors open at 11:00.
