The building dates from the 1980s and underwent extensive renovation completed in October 2019 to serve as a modern workspace. The renovation preserved its original facade while updating the interior structure.
The structure received recognition at the New London Awards 2020 for its innovative approach to workplace design and environmental sustainability standards.

The roof extension uses cross-laminated timber and perforated folded aluminum panels that work in harmony with the existing castellated brick facade. This material combination bridges traditional architecture with contemporary building methods.
