Doune Hill, Mountain summit in Argyll and Bute, Scotland
Doune Hill rises to a height of 734 meters with a prominent trig point marking the peak in the Luss Hills range.
The mountain has served as a geographic marker between Loch Long and Loch Lomond regions since the earliest mapping surveys of Scotland.
Local shepherds maintain traditional grazing practices on the mountain slopes, where sheep roam freely across the grasslands throughout the seasons.
Hikers can reach the summit through an 18-kilometer circular route from Luss, gaining 970 meters of elevation over a 6 to 7 hour journey.
The mountain presents a remarkable prominence of 695 meters, making it one of the most notable peaks in the Argyll and Bute region.
