Hastings Fishermen's Museum, Maritime museum in Hastings, England

Hastings Fishermen's Museum displays traditional fishing equipment, boats, and historical photographs inside a former church building on Rock-a-Nore Road. The collection includes a preserved fishing boat and scale models of vessels from different periods.

The museum opened in 1956 after local groups transformed the former St. Nicholas Church, which had served the fishing community since 1854. The building had been a gathering place for the community and preserves its heritage.

The museum's name reflects the fishing community that has lived and worked here for generations. Objects on display include items from the Hastings Winkle Club, founded in 1900 by local fishermen to support residents in financial hardship.

Access works through donations rather than fixed admission fees, making visits flexible. The location on Rock-a-Nore Road along the seafront has several parking areas nearby.

The museum preserves a fishing lugger boat and a scale model of the 1522 Henri Grace A Dieu. These vessels offer visitors a rare look at ships from different eras that shaped Hastings.
