St Cuthbert's Church, Over Kellet, Grade II* listed Anglican church in Over Kellet, England.
St Cuthbert's Church is an Anglican parish church in Over Kellet featuring a four-bay nave, north porch, side aisles, chancel, and west tower with diagonal buttresses and crenellated parapet. The building was constructed in English Gothic style and later expanded in Gothic Revival fashion.
The earliest sections of the church date to 1200, marking medieval origins at the site. Architect E.G. Paley carried out extensive renovations between 1863 and 1864 that brought the building to its current form.
The church is named after Saint Cuthbert and displays interior details shaped by local worship practices across centuries. Visitors can observe two distinct fonts in the side aisles, reflecting how the church adapted its furnishings over time.
The church is an active Anglican parish that welcomes visitors and is situated within the diocese of Blackburn. Keep in mind that the building remains in regular use for services and events, so access may vary depending on the time of visit.
The churchyard contains war graves of a World War I soldier and a Royal Air Force officer from World War II. These graves tell the stories of men from the local community who died in both global conflicts.
