15 Cheyne Walk, Grade II* listed house in Chelsea, London.

15 Cheyne Walk is a four-storey red-brick house in Chelsea with four symmetrically arranged windows on each floor. The building offers unobstructed views of the River Thames and retains its original architectural structure.

The house was built in 1718 and served as the residence of Admiral Sir John Balchen, who lived there until his death at sea in 1744. Its structure reflects early 18th-century affluent residential architecture.

The house hosted founding meetings of the Fight the Famine Committee in 1919, a movement that later became the Save the Children Fund. Visitors can trace the connection between this address and one of the world's oldest charitable organizations.

The building holds Grade II* listed status, meaning any changes require approval to protect its architectural elements. Note that this is a private residential address, so access may be limited to exterior viewing.

The house served as a filming location for The Gathering Storm in 2002, portraying the home of Sir Desmond Morton, a close friend of Churchill. This cinematic connection shows how the location continues to feature in contemporary storytelling.
