Peckham Platform operates in a modern building designed by Penson Group, featuring exhibition spaces dedicated to contemporary art and community engagement programs.
The gallery emerged in 2009 as an initiative of Camberwell College of Arts, becoming independent in 2013 when it changed its name from Peckham Space.
Each exhibition at Peckham Platform involves direct collaborations between professional artists and local community groups, focusing on social engagement through art.
The gallery opens Wednesday through Friday from 11:00 to 18:00 and weekends from 10:00 to 17:00, offering free access to all exhibitions.
The facility stands as the first purpose-built public art gallery constructed in South London since 1891, receiving funding from Arts Council England and Southwark Council.
