St Luke's Church, Preston

St Luke's Church is a sandstone church building in the Gothic Revival style in Deepdale. The structure consists of a six-bay nave with clerestory windows, north and south aisles, a chancel, organ house, vestry, and a five-stage southwest tower.

The building was constructed in 1859 to serve a growing congregation of worshippers. Over time, it changed uses and eventually ceased its original religious function.

The building displays Early English Gothic Revival features through its pointed windows and geometric patterns in the stonework. These architectural choices reflect the religious and aesthetic preferences of the Victorian era.

The Grade II listed building currently stands empty and is no longer used as a church. You should inquire before visiting since conversion to residential use is being considered and access may be limited.

The tower features a broach spire decorated with two tiers of small openings and a stair turret positioned at the northwest corner. These details showcase the skilled craftsmanship typical of this architectural period.
