The brick-built Carey Baptist Church features three round-headed windows with moulded surrounds and keystones above its triple-doorway entrance front.
Established in 1826 for the Countess of Huntingdon's Connexion, the building underwent modifications to serve as a Baptist church in Preston's religious landscape.

The interior space includes a curved gallery supported by cast iron columns, with a paneled ceiling and decorative Corinthian architraved opening.
