Miller Arcade, Victorian shopping arcade in Preston, England.
Miller Arcade is a three-story building with expansive glass-panelled ceilings, ornate tile work, and red brick facades decorated with terracotta details throughout. The interior holds multiple shops and restaurants arranged along covered walkways beneath the decorative overhead panels.
The building was constructed in 1899 following the design of London's Burlington Arcade as a model. It replaced a row of older terraced houses that had been known as The Shambles.
The arcade displays Victorian craftsmanship through its elaborate tile work and carefully designed shop fronts that reflect the era's attention to detail. Visitors notice how these decorative elements shape the experience of shopping in this 19th-century space.
The arcade is located at the intersection of Church Street and Lancaster Road and is easy to reach on foot. The overhead covering provides shelter from rain, and flat walkways make it accessible for most visitors.
The building once housed Victorian Turkish Baths that operated until 1947. The raised lettering marking the entrance on the east side remains visible to this day.
