St Luke's Church, Salford, Anglican church in Weaste and Seedley, Salford, England

St Luke's Church stands on elevated ground with a slender tower featuring angled buttresses, bell chamber openings, and a pointed spire with roof lanterns. The building displays carefully crafted Neo-Gothic exterior details throughout.

The building opened in 1865 following a design by architect George Gilbert Scott in the Neo-Gothic style. A chancel chapel was added in 1875 as a tribute to benefactor Edward Tootal.

The interior displays stained glass windows by Charles Eamer Kempe, set alongside painted panels above a paneled base in the apse section. These decorative choices reflect the artistic tastes of the Victorian congregation.

The building requires extensive repairs due to water damage from deteriorated roof coverings and failing drainage systems, which have caused structural issues. Visitors should be aware that ongoing restoration work may affect accessibility to certain areas.

Emmeline Goulden, who later became a central figure in the British suffragette movement, married Richard Pankhurst at this church in 1879. This wedding marked the start of a union that would shape the course of women's rights history.
