Town Hall, Grade I listed town hall and museum in Newark, England
The Newark Town Hall features an Assembly Room, Council Chamber, and Mayor's Parlour, displaying civic artifacts within its Georgian architecture from 1776.
John Carr of York designed this municipal building to serve as a gathering place for the Mayor and Town Aldermen of Newark since its construction.
The museum section contains paintings and sculptures by William Nicholson, Stanley Spencer, Robert Kiddey, and William Cubley in the permanent collection.
The museum opens Wednesday through Friday from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM and Saturday from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM with free entry for all visitors.
Children can experience civic leadership through interactive activities including dressing up in miniature mayoral robes in the museum section.
