Dock Traffic Office, Grade I listed architectural structure at Albert Dock, Liverpool, England
The Dock Traffic Office stands as a three-story red brick building with a Tuscan portico, cast iron columns, and a series of bay windows overlooking the docks.
Built in 1847 by architect Philip Hardwick, the structure initially served as an operations center for the Albert Dock during Liverpool's maritime trade expansion.
The International Slavery Museum has transformed this former Granada Television headquarters into an educational space examining Liverpool's maritime commerce history.
The building stands within the Albert Dock complex near the Merseyside Maritime Museum and offers exhibits about Liverpool's shipping and trade development.
In 2021, the structure received a new designation as the Dr Martin Luther King Jr Building, marking its transition into a center for historical research.
