The Hall, Brampton Bryan, Grade II* listed house in Brampton Bryan, England.

The Hall is a three-story house built from brick and sandstone, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The rectangular structure displays regular rows of windows across each facade, showing the orderly design typical of its period.

Edward Harley built this house around 1660 as a replacement after Brampton Bryan Castle was destroyed in 1644. The Harley family maintained ownership continuously, allowing the building to evolve over time.

The residence reflects how wealthy families adapted their homes to changing tastes during the 17th and 18th centuries. You can see how the building combines original features with later modifications that updated its style.

The house functions as a private residence and is not open for public tours. However, the surrounding countryside offers pleasant walking opportunities for visitors interested in the local landscape.

The house served as a filming location for the movie adaptation of Howards End, representing Henry Wilcox's country estate. This film connection introduced the property to audiences far beyond the local area.
