Monument to Lord Robert Edward Somerset, Stone monument in Hawkesbury, South Gloucestershire, England.

This monument is a square stone tower set in the South Gloucestershire countryside with decorative paneled sides and an ornate upper platform. The structure rises prominently from the landscape and contains a viewing platform accessed from its northeast side.

The tower was designed and built in 1846 by architect Lewis Vulliamy to honor a British military figure. It remains a Grade II listed structure of the 19th century.

The structure displays the Somerset family arms on its southern panel and incorporates architectural elements from the Beaufort family heritage.

The tower is easy to spot from a distance and can be entered through a door on the northeast side. Visitors should be prepared for uneven ground around the structure and stairs inside.

The tower displays unusual architectural details including Asian-inspired decorative elements on its walls. A distinctive cross-topped orb sits at the summit, making the structure recognizable from far away.
