The current structure, designed by James Gillespie Graham, replaced a medieval church in 1819 at a construction cost of £6,220.
The entrance doorway functions as a war memorial, displaying names of local parishioners who perished during both World Wars.
The church maintains regular weekly services under Reverend Sonia Palmer and accommodates 1,650 people for religious gatherings and ceremonies.
The medieval sacrament house from the original church stands within the new structure as a memorial to a church elder.
