The Hillhead Baptist Church features Greek columns, casement windows, and a triple-doorway front entrance with traditional sky blue painted doors.
Consecrated in 1883, the church was designed by architect Thomas Lennox Watson and received its Category B listed building status in December 1970.
During World War I, 120 male members from the church congregation joined military service, with fifty-five members losing their lives in the conflict.
The church building contains two levels of seating and a columned gallery, providing accommodation for approximately 600 individuals during services.
Recent development plans have allowed sections of the church building to be converted into residential apartments while preserving its architectural heritage.
