Motor Museum, Recording studio in Lark Lane, Liverpool, England

Motor Museum is a recording studio housed in a converted warehouse with natural lighting and three separate recording spaces. The main room provides ample space for live recording, while a specialized stone-walled room enhances acoustic qualities for different types of projects.

The building first operated as Pink Museum before being purchased and transformed in 1999 by musician Andy McCluskey. This conversion brought updated recording capabilities and modern equipment, shaping it into the studio it is today.

The name reflects the former use of this location, and today the space brings together artists from different backgrounds. Local and international musicians have recorded albums here, making it an important part of Liverpool's music story.

The studio can be accessed from Lark Lane with good public transport connections in the area. Visitors should check opening times in advance and plan session bookings well ahead of their arrival.

The studio features Mediterranean architectural details and tropical plants throughout its spaces, creating an unexpected setting for a recording studio in northern England. This design choice creates a visually pleasant environment that stands apart from typical studio rooms.
