St Mark's Church, Myddelton Square, Anglican church in Clerkenwell, London Borough of Islington, England.
St Mark's Church occupies the center of Myddelton Square, displaying plain Gothic design with seating capacity for approximately 2000 people. The building features red brick construction with a prominent bell tower and modern accessibility features integrated into its entrance.
William Chadwell Mylne designed and built this church between 1825 and 1827 as part of developing the surrounding square. The structure witnessed Clerkenwell's industrial growth and remained rooted in the community across generations.
The east window depicts the Ascension through stained glass created by AE Buss of Goddard & Gibbs in 1962, contributing artistic value to the building. This work represents modern ecclesiastical craftsmanship from the mid-twentieth century.
The site features a metal ramp and widened entrances providing straightforward access for visitors with varying mobility needs. The surrounding area is traffic-calmed, making the building easily approachable on foot.
The former Church Hall and Chapel rooms have served as shared spaces with the World Community for Christian Meditation since 2002. This arrangement allows visitors from different traditions to occupy the space together and practice meditation in common.
