The Church of the Immaculate Conception features pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and a prominent tower with architectural elements designed by Joseph Hansom in 1846.
The construction of this religious building started in 1844 with a budget of 6,000 pounds and underwent substantial modifications in 1864 with the addition of a sacristy.
The parish maintains strong connections with Immaculate Conception Primary School and Mount St Mary's College, supporting educational initiatives within the Catholic community.
Regular services take place on Saturdays at 6:30 PM and Sundays at 10:00 AM, with additional weekday masses announced through the parish bulletin.
In 1947, the church received a custom-made stained glass window from Hardman & Co, which remains in the southeast chapel to this day.
