Leyswood, Grade II listed château in Withyham, England

The mansion features mock battlements, towers, half-timbered upper facades, and tall chimneys arranged around a central courtyard in Wealden district.

Architect Richard Norman Shaw completed the construction of Leyswood in September 1868, incorporating elements of Tudor architecture into the design.

The mansion received Grade II listing status in 1973, marking its inclusion in the National Heritage List for England as a structure of architectural importance.

Located at coordinates 51.094827 latitude and 0.180059 longitude, Leyswood underwent substantial size reduction modifications in 1955 that altered its original appearance.

Hermann Muthesius documented the original architectural drawings of Leyswood in his 1904 publication about English houses, preserving its initial design specifications.
