The Bosham Sailing Club, Grade II sailing club in Bosham, England
The Bosham Sailing Club occupies a former mill building on Bosham Quay with a terrace extending over Chichester Harbour's water. The clubhouse contains a bar, restaurant, and changing facilities with views across Bosham Channel.
Founded in 1907 by Captain E.K. Collis-Chapman, the club began operating from a converted stable. It relocated to its current site in the rebuilt Mill House during 1954.
The club's red bell emblem on its white flag connects to the maritime identity of this coastal community and its long relationship with sailing. Members and visitors experience a tradition that has remained central to local life for generations.
The clubhouse operates year-round with sailing programs, training, and racing events available to members. The best time to visit is during warmer months when water conditions and weather are most welcoming.
The club maintains a fleet of about 100 classic day boats designed in the pre-1950s style. These vessels are celebrated annually at a special gathering that honors traditional boat-building methods.
