New Hampshire Motor Speedway is a motorsport racing track in Loudon, New Hampshire, featuring a 1.058-mile (1.7 km) oval with multiple configurations, including a 1.6-mile (2.6 km) road course. The facility includes grandstands along the front stretch and in the turns, while the paddock and team facilities occupy the infield area.
The facility opened in 1964 as Bryar Motorsports Park, initially focusing on motorcycle racing. After extensive renovations, it reopened in 1989 as New Hampshire International Speedway for professional car racing.
The facility hosts the Loudon Classic motorcycle race, recognized as North America's oldest continuously running motorcycle competition. Visitors today watch different racing series use the varied track layouts for both car and motorcycle events.
The track sits about 25 miles (40 km) north of Concord and can be reached via Route 106. On race days, gates open several hours before the start, and visitors should plan for heavier traffic around the town of Loudon.
Scott Dixon set a track record with a lap time of 22.3481 seconds during a 2011 IndyCar event. The steep banking in the turns allows for higher speeds than comparable oval tracks in the Northeast.
