Children's Museum of Evansville
Children's Museum of Evansville, Interactive children's museum in Evansville, United States
The Children's Museum of Evansville occupies a multi-story building with learning areas dedicated to science, art, and physical activities for young visitors. The exhibits are designed so children can discover and learn through hands-on activities.
The building was constructed in 1931 in Art Deco style and originally served as the city's main library before transforming into a children's museum in 2006. This conversion allowed the historic structure to serve a new generation of visitors.
The Speak Loud area invites children to explore musical instruments and perform on stage. Young visitors can develop their artistic skills through music, theater, and creative expression in this section.
The museum works well for children of different ages since the exhibits offer varied activities. Plan for enough time to explore multiple areas and try out the hands-on stations.
The Quack Factory area features the Great Duck Machine where children control water flows and mechanical elements through interactive controls. This playful device combines water play with hands-on learning in an entertaining way.
