Emerald Lake State Park

Emerald Lake State Park encompasses 430 acres of land surrounding a 20-acre lake that reflects green hues in the Vermont landscape.

The state of Vermont established this recreational area in 1960 through a land purchase of 1,000 acres from Robert Alfred Shaw's estate.

The park maintains a connection to Vermont's outdoor recreation traditions through its hiking trails, fishing spots, and nature interpretation programs.

The park offers 66 tent sites, 37 lean-to spots, modern restrooms with showers, and a dump station for recreational vehicles.

The lake supports multiple fish species including yellow perch, small-mouth bass, and northern pike, while prohibiting motorized watercraft.
