Finley Golf Course

Finley Golf Course is an 18-hole layout spanning roughly 7200 yards with multiple tee positions designed to accommodate different skill levels. The grass surfaces and varied hole designs create playing conditions for golfers of all abilities.

The course was designed by George Cobb in 1949 and became one of the first university golf facilities in the area. The layout has since undergone major redesigns by prominent golf course architects.

The course serves as a training ground for the University of North Carolina golf teams and shapes the collegiate sports experience on campus.

The facility includes a clubhouse with a bar and grill, a driving range, and a putting green for practice. Equipment rental is available year-round for those who need clubs and other gear.

The course has a challenging slope rating of 138, making it demanding for skilled players seeking a serious test of their abilities. Recent improvements were made in direct collaboration with a professional golf course designer.
