The Florence Air & Missile Museum was an aviation museum in Florence, South Carolina, dedicated to displaying military aircraft, missiles, and aerospace equipment. The collection was located at the entrance of Florence Regional Airport and featured various models of historical aircraft.
The museum was established in 1963 on the grounds of a former World War II aircraft training facility. It operated for several decades before closing in 1997.
The museum displayed aircraft that played key roles in aviation history, helping visitors understand how military aviation evolved. Through the exhibited planes, visitors could see how aircraft technology changed across different eras.
Visitors should know the museum is no longer open and cannot be visited. Most of the collection was relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, where it is housed in another aviation museum.
One special exhibit was a Lockheed NC-121K Warning Star, the last operational Constellation aircraft in U.S. military service. The plane suffered fire damage from a grass fire while on display.
