Holland State Park

Holland State Park stretches along Lake Michigan and Lake Macatawa, offering sandy beaches, camping grounds, and a waterway connecting the two lakes. The park features modern facilities, picnic areas, and direct water access on both sides.

The park was founded in 1926 and grew from a small recreation area into a major outdoor destination. Over the decades, it expanded alongside the surrounding region and became a key landmark on Michigan's western shore.

The park serves as a gathering spot where locals and visitors enjoy swimming, boating, and fishing throughout the warmer months. You'll find families and friends gathering on the beaches and around the water year after year.

Visitors will find over 200 campsites, restrooms, picnic areas, and free access to both lakes within the park. It is advisable to explore the grounds early in the day to find the best spots and trails.

Mount Pisgah within the park rises about 157 feet (48 meters) above the lake, providing views of the water and a distinctive red lighthouse via a boardwalk system. The climb is manageable and rewards visitors with sweeping views across both lakes and neighboring marinas.
