The Department of Parks maintains walking paths and interpretive signs throughout the grounds, allowing visitors to learn about Kentucky's early governance.
The original brick kitchen from Shelby's 1786 Traveller's Rest estate remains visible from the cemetery grounds after the main house burned in 1906.
