Elmwood Inn

Elmwood Inn is a tea house housed in a Greek Revival building that dates to the early 1800s on East 4th Street in Perryville. Inside, the space holds extensive tea collections, tasting rooms, and educational materials covering tea varieties and brewing methods from across the globe.

The building was constructed in 1842 and served as a military hospital during the Civil War. After the conflict ended, it operated as an educational academy before eventually becoming a tea house.

The name comes from an elm tree that once stood on the property. Visitors can experience how the space brings together people interested in tea, reflecting a way of life centered on learning and sharing about this beverage.

The shop stocks a wide selection of teas for purchase, with over 150 varieties of single-estate and blended options available. Plan to spend time exploring the rooms and sampling different types if you are interested in tea.
