Jack's Creek Covered Bridge

Jack's Creek Covered Bridge extends 48 feet across the Smith River, featuring a wooden queen post truss design from the early twentieth century.

The bridge was constructed in 1914 by Charlie Elam Vaughn using oak lumber to provide access to Jack's Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

The structure represents a connection to Virginia's architectural heritage as one of only seven remaining authentic historic covered bridges in the state.

Located at 1274 Jacks Creek Road near State Route 8, the bridge remains accessible for pedestrians who can sign the visitor guest book.

The bridge survived the devastating 2015 floods that destroyed the nearby Bob White Covered Bridge, making it the last covered bridge in Patrick County.
