Cockram Mill, Historic gristmill in Patrick County, US.
The two and three-story rectangular frame building stands 111 feet long and 24 feet wide on a concrete foundation near the Dan River.
Constructed around 1885 by Jesse Blackard, the mill operated with two metal turbine wheels measuring 14 and 16 feet in diameter for grain processing.
The mill complex included a miller's house built in 1921, representing the integration of industrial and residential structures in rural Virginia communities.
Located near Meadows of Dan and accessible from US 58 East at the junction with VA 632, the mill spans across 13 acres of land.
The facility maintains its original mechanical components and demonstrates the engineering capabilities of late 19th-century industrial architecture in Virginia.
