John Uri Lloyd House, Romanesque single-family residence in Cincinnati, United States.
The John Uri Lloyd House features a ten-windowed turret and a Diocletian window, constructed with broken range Ashler masonry at 3901 Clifton Avenue.
Built in 1879 for coal merchant Solomon P. Kineon, the house became the residence of pharmacist John Uri Lloyd in 1909 until his death in 1938.
The residence connects to the development of pharmacognosy through John Uri Lloyd's work and his establishment of Lloyd Brothers Pharmacists company in 1886.
The building served multiple purposes throughout its history, including as a healing center, private medical practice, and headquarters for The Independent Eye newspaper.
The house maintains direct links to the Lloyd Library and Museum, which originated from John Lloyd's personal collection of medical botany and pharmacy materials.
