John Uri Lloyd House, Romanesque single-family residence in Cincinnati, United States.

The John Uri Lloyd House is a Romanesque-style residence located in Cincinnati with distinctive architectural elements. It features a ten-windowed turret and a Diocletian window, with walls constructed from broken range ashlar masonry.

The house was built in 1879 for a coal merchant and later became home to a pharmacist in 1909. During his decades of residence there, the place became a center for pharmaceutical research and study.

The residence is connected to the work of a prominent pharmacist who influenced the development of plant-based medicine in America. You can sense the home's role in the story of how scientific pursuits shaped Cincinnati's intellectual life.

The house is situated on a residential street in an established neighborhood of Cincinnati. It is advisable to check in advance about visiting opportunities, as access may be limited.

The owner's personal library of medical plant materials became the foundation for a major collection still available to the public today. This collection grew into a separate institution dedicated to preserving botanical and pharmaceutical knowledge.
