Look Park, Public park in Northampton, Massachusetts, US
Look Park is a 150-acre park in Northampton with gardens, walking paths, playgrounds, and recreational areas next to Mill River. It offers several facilities including a miniature train ride, water spray parks, paddle boats, and tennis courts that operate from spring through fall.
Fannie Burr Look donated the land in 1928 as a memorial to her husband Frank Look, creating a central gathering place for the community. The property grew from this beginning into a regional park with diverse recreational opportunities.
The outdoor amphitheater hosts summer concerts, theatrical performances, and seasonal festivals where local artists connect with visitors. On warm evenings, people gather here to enjoy music and shows in an open-air setting.
The park is easily accessible during the warmer months when most facilities operate from spring through fall. Plan your visit on weekends when families are active, or on weekdays for a quieter experience.
The park houses a small zoo with farm animals like goats and sheep that children can interact with year-round. This hands-on animal experience makes the place special for young visitors.
