Missouri State Fair Speedway, tor wyścigowy (Stany Zjednoczone)
Missouri State Fair Speedway is a racing track in Sedalia, Missouri, located within the state fairgrounds complex. The track is a half-mile dirt oval with permanent bleacher seating for around 8,800 spectators on the east side, plus a paved stage area used for concerts and demonstrations.
The track opened in 1901 originally for horse racing and switched to car races in 1914. After decades as a full-mile oval, it was resized to its current half-mile configuration in 1936 and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a significant racing site.
The venue is deeply rooted in local racing culture and draws both dedicated motorsport fans and families looking for a day out together. The grandstands create a shared space where neighbors and visitors gather to experience the track action as a community.
The grandstands include an elevator for visitors with mobility needs, and food and drink concessions are available on-site. Restroom facilities and a ticket office are open during event seasons to help with planning your visit.
Driver Al Unser won a major USAC national championship race here in 1970 on the original mile-long track before it was reduced to its current half-mile size. This rare national-level championship event remains a notable highlight in the site's racing history.
