Quail Hollow Club

Quail Hollow Club is a private golf course with an attached clubhouse in Charlotte, North Carolina. The grounds spread across rolling hills with mature trees, water features, and manicured lawns where Bermuda grass grows.

The grounds were developed for golf operations starting in 1959 after George Cobb designed the first layout. Later modifications by Arnold Palmer and Tom Fazio altered the character of several playing holes and adapted the course to modern requirements.

The name refers to wachtel populations that once inhabited this wooded hillside landscape and shaped the surroundings. Members wear classic golf attire during formal occasions and attend social gatherings that preserve the character of a traditional country club.

Access to the course is restricted to members and their invited guests who should arrange reservations in advance. The facility offers practice areas for warming up before rounds as well as dining facilities for breaks between playing holes.

The final three playing holes form a section known among professional golfers as technically demanding and often decisive in tournament results. This area carries its own name and is closely watched during international competitions.
