Calvary Church

Calvary Church is a church building in Charlotte designed to hold over 5,000 people across multiple levels in its main worship space. The interior layout is organized to make large gatherings comfortable and to support different types of activities throughout the week.

The building began in 1939 as Bible Presbyterian Church, founded by Rev. Edgar Archer Dillard and others in the community. These early roots continue to shape the identity of this gathering place today.

The community shapes prayer life in Charlotte through its open approach and its many programs for families and young people. Visitors can join different groups daily and connect with other members who gather here regularly.

Services take place on Sunday mornings, with additional study groups at different times for those who want to explore further. The venue has ample space and clear signage to help visitors find their way around easily.

Inside is a massive pipe organ with around 11,500 pipes, built as a single installation over time. This instrument ranks among the largest of its kind globally and shapes the sound experience throughout the space.
