Flying Super Saturator, Steel roller coaster in Carowinds, North Carolina
The Flying Super Saturator stretched 1,087 feet in length and reached heights of 42 feet while maintaining speeds of 30 miles per hour.
The attraction operated from April 1, 2000, until 2008, when it was removed to make space for The Flying Cobras installation.
The World Waterpark Association recognized Setpoint USA with an innovation award for creating this water-integrated roller coaster design.
The ride required visitors to measure at least 44 inches in height and could accommodate 600 passengers each hour through its four-person vehicles.
Passengers could release 4-gallon water payloads while riding, and ground visitors controlled water cannons to spray passing coaster cars.
