Jolly Rancher Remix, Steel roller coaster at Hersheypark, United States
Jolly Rancher Remix is a steel coaster at Hersheypark in Pennsylvania that travels through three inversions on its 935-foot (285-meter) track. The ride reaches speeds of 47 miles per hour (76 kilometers per hour) and climbs to a height of 116 feet (35 meters).
The coaster opened in 1991 as Sidewinder and was the first new addition to the park in 14 years. Manufacturer Vekoma supplied the model, which was rethemed and renamed in 2022.
The coaster takes its name from a hard candy brand familiar across the country for decades. Riders experience different candy varieties through multiple senses as scent aromas are released into the tunnel during each run.
A single train with seven cars carries up to 760 people per hour, with each car seating four passengers in two rows. The ride suits visitors looking for a short but intense experience with multiple overhead elements.
A virtual DJ system announces randomly selected candy flavors before each ride, while matching scents fill the tunnel section. This combination of sound and smell changes with every pass and creates shifting sensory impressions.
