The red brick Gothic Revival church stands with its rectory, convent, and school buildings across a 1.6-acre property in Louisville.
The original church, designed by architect William H. Redin, opened its doors in 1887 and underwent reconstruction after a severe fire in 1939.
The parish merged with Good Shepherd Parish in 2011 as part of the Archdiocese of Louisville's reorganization of local Catholic communities.
Located at coordinates 38°15'29"N and 85°47'17"W, the complex received National Register of Historic Places designation on March 1, 1982.
Architect Walter C. Wagner Sr. led the reconstruction project after the 1939 fire, maintaining the original design while enhancing structural integrity.
