Teamwork, Bronze sculpture at American Family Field, US
Teamwork is a bronze sculpture placed at the entrance of American Family Field in Milwaukee, showing three construction workers dressed in work gear. One figure holds a clipboard while the other two stand beside him, each in a distinct pose.
The sculpture was installed in 2001, two years after three workers died during the stadium's construction in 1999. It was put in place as a lasting memorial to the men who lost their lives on the site.
The three figures wear hard hats and work gear, showing the men as they appeared on the job site. Visitors walking past can look closely at each face and pose, which gives the memorial a personal rather than generic feel.
The sculpture stands right at the stadium entrance and is easy to spot as you approach the building. There is open space around it, so you can stop and take a closer look without getting in anyone's way.
Artist Omri Amrany gave each of the three men a face based on real photographs of the workers who died. This means the figures are not generic stand-ins but actual portraits of specific people.
