Terrace Club, Social dining club at Princeton University, United States
Terrace Club is a social dining establishment at Princeton University located at 62 Washington Road with multiple floors dedicated to member services. The building contains dining areas, performance spaces, and an on-site greenhouse that supplies fresh herbs for food preparation.
The club was founded in 1904 and relocated to its current Washington Road location in 1906. During the 1920s, architect Frederick Stone redesigned it with Tudor Revival architectural details that remain visible today.
The club hosts regular Thursday and Saturday live performances featuring local musicians from Philadelphia and New York, ranging from indie jazz to electronic music that draws both members and visiting audiences.
Members enjoy cafeteria-style dining with extensive vegetarian options, and graduate students have been eligible to join since 2011. Visitor access is generally limited to current members.
Unlike other Princeton student dining clubs situated on Prospect Avenue, this location stands alone on Washington Road. This distinction makes it the sole member-run eating establishment in this particular area of campus.
