Terrace Club, Social dining club at Princeton University, United States
Terrace Club is a student-run dining and social club at Princeton University, housed in a multi-floor building on Washington Road. The building holds dining rooms, performance spaces, and an on-site greenhouse that grows fresh herbs for the kitchen.
The club was founded in 1904 and moved to its current Washington Road address in 1906. In the 1920s, architect Frederick Stone gave the building its Tudor Revival look, which can still be seen today.
The club is known for its live music nights on Thursdays and Saturdays, bringing in musicians from Philadelphia and New York. The sets range from indie jazz to electronic music, drawing guests from across campus.
Dining is served cafeteria-style with a wide range of vegetarian options available. Access is generally limited to current members, though graduate students have been able to join since 2011.
Unlike most other dining clubs at the university, which sit along Prospect Avenue, this one stands on Washington Road. That makes it the only member-run eating club in that part of campus.
