The Zoo In Forest Park, Animal sanctuary in Providence, United States
The Zoo In Forest Park maintains over 800 animals from 160 species within its expansive grounds, offering educational exhibits and wildlife encounters.
Established in 1872, The Zoo In Forest Park holds the distinction of being the third oldest zoological institution in the United States.
The Rhode Island Zoological Society, founded in 1962, transformed the zoo into an educational center focused on wildlife conservation and environmental awareness.
The zoo operates daily from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with adult admission at $21 and children aged 2-12 at $15, including access to all exhibits.
Visitors can experience New England's sole Komodo dragon exhibit and participate in specialized animal encounters through the Wild Connections program.
