The Investment Building, Office building in downtown Washington D.C., United States

The Investment Building rises 13 floors high at 1501 K Street NW, featuring a contemporary design with glass and steel elements in Washington D.C.

The structure, completed in 2001, incorporated portions of the historic 1924 facade designed by Jules Henri de Sibour into its modern architecture.

The building represents the transition of Washington D.C. from traditional to modern architecture through its combination of preserved elements and new design.

The building houses commercial offices, including major law firm Sidley Austin, while the ground floor contains The Catholic Information Center and a coffee house.

César Pelli's architectural design maintains elements of the original 1924 Investment Building while creating a new 154-foot structure at the same location.
