New Middle Collegiate Church, Gothic Revival church in East Village, Manhattan, US

The Middle Collegiate Church features stone walls, with a central tower and Gothic architectural elements designed by Samuel B. Reed in 1892.

Built between 1891 and 1892, the church housed a bell cast in Amsterdam in 1729 that rang during the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The congregation maintains dual affiliations with the United Church of Christ and Reformed Church in America, welcoming people of different religious backgrounds.

Before the 2020 fire, the building contained modern facilities including reading rooms, gathering spaces, and spaces for community activities.

The devastating fire of December 2020 left only the stone exterior and historic bell intact, leading to ongoing reconstruction plans.
