Liberty Hall, Historic house museum in Kenansville, United States
Liberty Hall features Federal style architecture with two porches and a connected kitchen, representing North Carolina residential design from the 1800s.
The original structure, built in the 1730s on Turkey Branch Plantation by Thomas Kenan, burned down before 1800, leading to the construction of the current building.
The residence maintained a tradition of large social gatherings, becoming a center for political discussions and community events in Duplin County.
The museum opens Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, offering guided tours at 10:30 AM, 12:30 PM, and 2:30 PM.
The plantation operated with 20 to 50 workers who produced timber, pinch tar, and turpentine, supporting the economic foundation of the estate.
