Northside United Methodist Church
Northside United Methodist Church, Methodist church in Northside, Cincinnati, United States.
Northside United Methodist Church is a stone Gothic Revival building located in Cincinnati. The structure displays rough-faced stone walls, pointed arch windows, and a prominent bell tower rising across three levels.
The original congregation was founded in the 1830s, but the previous building was destroyed by fire. Architect Samuel Hannaford then designed and built this church in 1892 as its replacement.
The place served as a gathering space where the Methodist congregation came together for worship and community activities across generations. Today its rooms host different purposes, yet the structure still carries the marks of that social history.
The building sits on Chase Avenue and features a substantial stone structure with a slate roof. Visitors should know the site is now primarily used for recording purposes, so access may be limited depending on current activities.
The building was designed by Samuel Hannaford, a major 19th century architect who shaped Cincinnati's skyline. Today it operates as a recording studio, showing how historic spaces gain new purpose and continued use.
