Brandt Hall, Student residence hall at Virginia Commonwealth University, United States
Brandt Hall is a residence building at Virginia Commonwealth University with 17 stories and 624 suites specifically designed for first-year students. Each suite includes furnished bedrooms, a dining area, living space, private bathrooms, air conditioning, and wireless internet throughout.
The building opened in 2005 and helped expand student housing options on campus. This addition provided more first-year students with access to modern residential space.
The residence organizes special community programs such as Accelerated Learning and Eco-Village, where students connect over shared academic and social interests. These programs help residents build friendships with people who have similar goals.
The building has three elevators to help residents move between floors easily and avoid long waits. All residents must participate in a meal plan and are required to maintain a nine-month housing contract.
The name honors a benefactor whose generosity made the construction of this modern residential complex possible. The facility was specifically designed with sustainability in mind to ensure energy efficiency throughout the building.
